...okay, no, I won't finish that.

Today's a bit on the lame side. I fleshed out the remaining forum features in tests that fail, and made several go green. The ones that went green all pertain to the visibility of forum features to admins and the invisibility of said features to non-admins.

Exciting, eh? revision 145 is tonight's last.

Gruedorf: ah, crap.

I took monday off from work to sleep. And so I thought tonight was posting night. Ha... whoops. 20 hours late.

On verge3 I've been working on making a verge.cfg variable to specify an optional subdirectory that your maps and map vc can live in, so as not to clutter up the root directory.

In sully I diagnosed a battle action queue error that sends an action to linger far too long at the bottom of the stack (fix pending). I fixed a problem where the cursor would wildly list to the left and bottom when you entered a battle. I also helped the always awesome Gayo with some stuff he's doing with the Sully battle system. Yay for doing things!

On the website side I added some preliminary RSS features to the front page and the forum page. I also fixed the HELL out of registration.

Also I worked enough in my day job last week to need a day off to sleep this week. So yeah. Anyways: where's Kildorf? I take back all those mean things I said, baby. We can make this work. Give me another chance... ;_;

Gruedorf: Busy beaver

So, in addition to finishing out the core functionality for the new forums and finishing out the registration/email confirmation/email welcome process, I also managed to wipe out verge-rpg.com for about a day and a half!

It's awesome what a poorly formed query can do. Anyways, a database restore, 60 emails, and 8 more hours of trying to figure out why the documentation system was now broken later, I reclaimed the critical path!

After that I ended up working on Sully some, fixing some oversights in the battle system with Gayo, and even took the time to whip up a little demo for a new verger asking how to put together a HUD.

Aren't I swell?

Next up for forums quest 2k8 is making rss listings for the most recent public messages, custom rss listings per user account, and email notification of a thread you posted in have been responded to (with reply form in the email).

Gruedorf: The Long Night.

Currently on revision 116, and putting in all the nooks and crannies of forum administration... including the ability to create boards. Whee.

No rest for the wicked. You can visit the beta site to check out the progress, or you can email me for a read-only account on the SVN repo.

Of frustrating note is that several more tests are red on the server than in my local sandbox. It is to sigh. But it's better to know that things are all broken right from the get-go than to whine "but it wooooorks on myyyyy box" and do nothign about it.

And I stayed up working more just for you.

Anyways, replying is now in. Sorta. Spiked, so needs test coverage. Also I fixed the rendering for threads and for the reply page.

Current revision: 114.

...and now I sleep!
